Dear Aditya,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of appreciation for developing the database
application for the O/o DGA (C), Bengaluru. Our office is one of the field offices of Comptroller and
Auditor General of India, a Constitutional authority established under Article 149 of Indian
Constitution. The application you have developed along with your team will help the office in
streamlining the workflow.
As you might know, the project was conceived at the end of November 2019, when I met your
Assistant Professor, Mr Basavaraj Talwar and briefly explained our requirements. Mr Basavaraj said
he would constitute a team of students for executing the project. The project involved creation of a
database application for the office to capture the workflow of Audit. It included capturing the dates of
audit cycle, management of audit reports, monitoring staff performance, management of office
documents and easy Export and Import of required data for analysis. The application had to be
developed using Open-source software. At that point, it was just a shot in the dark as I was not sure if
the project can be pulled off. I left NIT-K with more scepticism than I would dare to admit. In the
following two months, nothing significant happened except exchange of requirements with professor.
I received first mail from you on 8 February 2020, answering to some of the queries I had raised
with Mr Basavaraj. It was quite pleasing to see that you understood the complex audit workflow and
the requirements excellently in such a short time. Your answers to each query was taut and precise, a
good quality to possess. Ever since, it has been a fantastic experience working with you. I was amazed
when I got the second version of the application on 03 March 2020. I realised what you are capable of
achieving and started adding more and more features to the original requirements. The scope creep
started to kick in, but the patience, maturity and clarity in communication you displayed during this
time was exceptional. You handled every request and question with utmost sincerity and sensitivity.
You never said “No” for any of my requests, and always responded with “I will try”, this shows great
character and positive attitude. While I was communicating with you, you coordinated with rest of
your team displaying great leadership ability. The fact that we never met in person for the entire
project cycle but executed the project to perfection shows your great interpersonal skills
I thank you once again for helping a Government office by developing the application displaying
great social responsibility and commitment to contribute using your skills. I would like to emphasise -
this project would have been impossible if not for you.
Wish you success in all future endeavours.
Yours Sincerely,
(Pavan Kumar Reddy R)
