APDS is Certified SUPERIOR in Food Safety by the
American Institute of Baking. We maintain rigorous food
safety programs and processes in all our locations.
We are also a company whose warehouses are Certified
Organic by the CCOF & IFOAM. We do not use pesticides
or other non-organic components in our sanitation and day
to day operations. We maintain the organic chain of
custody from the receipt of your product to its distribution
out of our warehouse. All of our production lines are also
certified for use in organic materials handling. We are
proud to be the only public facility in Northern California
with this certification.
Finally, APDS is Certified Kosher by K Parve & other
certifying agencies. We take pride in our ability to meet

Through its acquisition of Terrill Transportation, APDS Logistics owns and operates its own
fleet of 130 Trucks and 250 Trailers. This acquisition gives APDS a strategic advantage over
many warehouse companies and nearly all packaging companies. While they are at the
mercy of outside agents and brokers, APDS is able to use its own truck to drive down costs
of product transfers and subsequent outbound shipments to your customers. By having our
drivers use our centralized pickup and drop points, they can pickup a new load when they
drop your inbound. And don’t forget, we run TL & LTL of all temps to the 5 Western States
with our own equipment.
In March of 2009, APDS was inducted into the NDS Group. This alliance of regional, pool
distribution companies has allowed us to expand our reach to a national level while allowing
us to keep a local touch. This network provides outstanding coverage to the United States at
all temperature levels. The pool distribution model ensures proper consolidation of your
freight along with others by setting a firm departure schedule multiple times each week.
This network will not only ensure that your shipments arrive on-time (avoiding late delivery
charges) but also allows us to eliminate many assessorial like detention, night delivery fees.

21. Information Technology
APDS Logistics realizes the importance of providing accurate and timely information on
all transactions that occur in our operations. We utilize a warehouse management
system (Accuplus) that offers highly accurate reporting of all product movements from
receipt to outbound shipment. Monthly activity and customized reports are generated
and provided to customers. Our code date tracking and cycle counting procedures are
guided by our system and help us provide a high level of accuracy. Shipment
confirmations on orders are relayed back to you via EDI, fax or email on a daily basis.
For those customers requiring online visibility of orders and delivery
documents, we utilize LogiView as our supply-chain network solution. LogiView allows
our customers to view their warehouse inventory levels in real-time, as well as monitor
all delivery information for their transportation movements.
Customers can also have access to their account information using the Internet. With
the use of an internet browser, customers can look at current inventories, receipts,
shipment information, and various activity reports. Our system supports “each”
picking, kitting, labeling and various prepackaged/custom packaged product order
fulfillment. We have in-house IT management and support available to our customers
24-hours a day. We also prepare customer specific reports at the end of each month and
can prepare legally enforceable bills of lading for you.
