Initiatives involve integrated merchandise planning, improving core merchandise systems, optimizing assortments for local customers, and optimizing product lifecycles. Opportunities exist to increase technology enhancements, improve business processes, and for tier 2 and 3 retailers to adopt capabilities of tier 1 retailers through long-term partnerships.
