Creative direction, concepts & design
ABSTRACT 
Currently I work for Marketecture as Head of Creative. 
In this role I act as Lead Creative across all media, art directing and guiding the 
entire creative team alongside the Creative Director. 
I also maintain specialist and direct control over all interactive design, digital 
creative, user experience and motion design within Marketecture. 
As head of strong, multi-disciplined creative and development departments, this 
role encompasses team & line management, operations, creative direction, strategy, 
art direction, process and I purposefully maintain a hands-on creative, design and 
production role as much as possible. 
Before this I had worked in and through many incarnations of the Manchester 
TBWA network under; BDHTBWA, Digerati, Tequila Manchester and of course 
TBWA Manchester where, functioning as the creative head of digital, I achieved 
some awards for both mine, and my team’s creative work on behalf of global B2C 
top-100 brands. 
I cut my creative teeth practicing graphic design and creative communication for a 
period of 7 years before I decided to specialize in interactive design. Since 2002 I 
have been responsible for overseeing the creative output of specialist interactive 
and creative teams with an emphasis on creativity across the gamut 
of digital channels. 
I believe that to it is fundamental to understand the technicalities of the 
medium to create effective communication. As a result, I maintain a high 
technical knowledge which allows me to comfortably conceive and direct 
interactive projects which are to best practice, standards compliant and 
using the latest techniques, technologies and methodologies. 
Outside of the working day I also enjoy photography, graphic novels, playing with my 
twin son & daughter and my myriad of games consoles. When I find time away from 
these vices, I can usually be seen with a guitar in my hands.

My role has allowed me to devise, create and orchestrate digital marketing solutions for some of the worlds most recognisable brands in both B2C 
and B2B. I have a formal education in graphic design and visual communication and upon graduation I soon specialised in interactive disciplines, 
always operating in the context of broader, multi-channelled projects and campaigns. I have specific and extensive expertise in the areas of online 
brand experience, user experience, information architecture, usability, graphic design, typography, colour and form. I have held senior digital creative 
and design roles in various top 100 agencies and have built, managed and developed digital and multi-disciplined creative teams during this time.

  • 2. ABSTRACT Currently I work for Marketecture as Head of Creative. In this role I act as Lead Creative across all media, art directing and guiding the entire creative team alongside the Creative Director. I also maintain specialist and direct control over all interactive design, digital creative, user experience and motion design within Marketecture. As head of strong, multi-disciplined creative and development departments, this role encompasses team & line management, operations, creative direction, strategy, art direction, process and I purposefully maintain a hands-on creative, design and production role as much as possible. Before this I had worked in and through many incarnations of the Manchester TBWA network under; BDHTBWA, Digerati, Tequila Manchester and of course TBWA Manchester where, functioning as the creative head of digital, I achieved some awards for both mine, and my team’s creative work on behalf of global B2C top-100 brands. I cut my creative teeth practicing graphic design and creative communication for a period of 7 years before I decided to specialize in interactive design. Since 2002 I have been responsible for overseeing the creative output of specialist interactive and creative teams with an emphasis on creativity across the gamut of digital channels. I believe that to it is fundamental to understand the technicalities of the medium to create effective communication. As a result, I maintain a high technical knowledge which allows me to comfortably conceive and direct interactive projects which are to best practice, standards compliant and using the latest techniques, technologies and methodologies. Outside of the working day I also enjoy photography, graphic novels, playing with my twin son & daughter and my myriad of games consoles. When I find time away from these vices, I can usually be seen with a guitar in my hands.
