Anthony Hay was born around 1712 in Williamsburg, Virginia and was a member of the gentry social class as the owner of a cabinetmaking shop and tavern. He was married twice and had nine children. As a cabinetmaker and tavern owner, his businesses provided goods and gathering places for the community. Anthony Hay supported the patriot cause for American independence from Britain.

My characters name is Anthony Hay ,
Anthony Hay was born by 1712 , his social
class is gentry because he owned a shop on
Nicholson st in Williamsburg. He also owns
lot’s of slaves.

3. My Occupation
Anthony Hay is a cabinetmaker which means
he sells furniture also he was a tavern owner
which is mostly where people come and drink
and get food.

4. Family Life
Anthony has married 2 wifes named
Elizabeth Penman and Elizabeth Davenport.
He had 9 children named Barbara, Thomas,
Joseph George, Anthony, Charles, Betsy,
Nancy, and Sarah.

5. Friends
Anthony had a lot of friends some of the
names of his friends are, Lydia Broadnax,
Edmund Dickenson, Alexander Craig,
Christina Campbell, Elizabeth Randolph, and
Frances Tasker Carter.

6. Was this person Loyalist or Patriot?
Anthony was a patriot which means they wanted to have
war with england. I know that anthony is a patriot because it
says” anthony died before the revolutionary war, but
because he and his successor allowed the tavern to be a
place where the revolutionary leaders had meetings, he
assured the taverns lasting reputation¨.

It was really fun learning about Anthony Hay because i got to learn
a lot about Anthony. What i really liked was that i got to learn who
he was friends with.
