This document summarizes an algorithm for anonymizing centralized and distributed social networks through sequential clustering. It presents two variants of an anonymization algorithm that significantly outperform the leading SaNGreeA algorithm. The algorithms are then adapted into secure distributed versions to anonymize networks where data is split between multiple data holders, preserving privacy without revealing links between nodes controlled by other data holders. This is presented as the first study of privacy preservation in distributed social networks.
