Evaluation
My media product uses conventions of real newspapers such as layout, content types, and news values. On the front cover, I included immediacy, familiarity, and surprise to engage audiences. Throughout my research of other newspapers, I identified common traits like prominent headlines, pictures describing articles, and continuing main stories onto second pages. I sought audience feedback to learn they prefer newspapers for local news and find my layout and color scheme effective. I used various media technologies at different stages, from online research of other papers to software for designing my newspaper, poster, and functioning website.
Compare A Local Newspaper With Its Website

Most read newspapers extremely often or very often. The majority would spend £0-£1 on newspapers. Popular newspaper sections included stories, sports, horoscopes and crossword puzzles. 2) Elements like guitars, skateboards, and black clothing on the cover visually represent rock music culture.
3) Written content about bands and concerts would interest the target audience of teenagers and rock fans.
4) The magazine aims to be inclusive of all gender and age groups, challenging the convention of primarily male readerships in similar magazines.
Proposal for my music magazine
The magazine will be called "Mosher" and will focus on rock music culture. It will use a mix of black, white, and red colors with vibrant imagery on the cover to appeal to both male and female readers. The layout will be neat and original with the fonts "dark half btn" for the body and "youngsook" for the masthead. The logo will link to the masthead saying "Mosh it loud". The magazine will include interviews, reviews, and concert news along with tips on moshing safely. It will be distributed through newsstands and have an introductory free subscription period before a £2.20 cover price.
My style sheet

Many newspapers use red white and black colours as the are very bold and straight to the point and they are primary colours this can portray the newspaper as being ‘original’. The colours of the newspaper are chosen so that no colour specifies gender.
