Android Studio 2.3 includes several new features to improve the design, development, and IDE experience. In design, the layout editor was updated with improved property handling. The vector asset editor and support for WebP images were also added. For development, Instant Run was updated and a new App Links Assistant was introduced. The IDE itself was updated with new features like breadcrumbs and background images based on upgrades to IntelliJ 2016.2. Overall, the 2.3 beta release focuses on enhancements in key areas to provide a better Android development environment.
