The China-US Symposium is a multi-day academic conference is held every spring at Tufts’ Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Our goal is to foster positive relations between China and the United States, cultivating cooperation and understanding between students and experts from different background and cultures. We believe in building on the unique crossroads of ideas, experiences and people that characterizes Tufts University to promote an atmosphere of deep analysis and critical awareness—both of pertinent policy issues at the international level, and their effect on the individual.
Beijing Women’s Network is a platform that serves to provide women from diverse professional backgrounds opportunities to connect and share insights into experience they have had in professional settings.
Through our community, we hope to build collective peer mentorship and help individuals foster personal growth and professional development. One of our main focuses is to provide skills and training specific to building a successful career in the China space.
The Beijing Women’s Network began with a group of 12 women in March 2015, brought together by a shared interest in discussing women’s issues. Since the first dinner, the group has grown to about 300 in the WeChat group and consistently hosting dinners for upwards of 25 women.
While the initial intention was to create a space for women to discuss navigating the workplace here in Beijing, our work has expanded to include a Professional Development Series and bi-weekly Spotlight Dinners where members lead a focused dialogue on a specific issue related to women.
Addmissions are open to Industrial Welding Short-Term Certificate program offered by Northwest State Community College of Ohio. This welding program will provide the students with the technical skills and knowledge to work in the industrial welding field.
