operationonhowgeothermal electricityproductionget,atfirstithardto us to comprehendhow the
geothermal worksbecause thatfieldisforthe BSELECTRICALENGINEERINGstudent, butwhenwe saw
the actual operationandprocesswe alreadypicture outthe whole procedure the powerplantneed
steamto generate electricity.The steamrotatesaturbine thatactivatesageneratorwhichproduces
electricity,itusessteamof hotwaterthatfoundbelow the earth’ssurface.We are luckyto see and
knowhowgeothermal plantworks.

We visited(PSWRI) Phillipine springwaterresourcesinc..the companyisownedandmanaged
by a Filipino.Itisa manufactureranddistributorof nature’sspringbottleddrinkingwaterproductsfor
bothlocal and international market.Before we will tourtotheirproductionsite the staff discussabrief
historyof PSWRIand alsoinformus the companyrules,inside totheirproductionareawe saw howthey
processthe productsfrom raw materialstofinishproductswe entertotheirbottlingproductionandto
theirrefilingstation,the equipmenttheyusedare hightech.usingPLC,conveyor,pressure device and
mechanical equipment.Itwasa nice tour inside theircompany.

manufacturersof electronicproductsinthe worldlocatedindanaocity.The companymanufactures
variouselectronicproductssuchasmagnetictape head,floppydiskdrive,connectors,opticaldevice,
camera module etc.itwasagreat opportunityaselectronicstudenttovisittheircompanybecause
mitsumi ismore inelectronicsequipmentandmachine theirproductionwassophisticatedbecause the
usedupdatedelectronicsandroboticsmachine,theyalsohave the bestengineeringteamthathandle
the designof machine.
Before we tourto theirproductionareawe discussthe historyof mitsumi andinformustheir
companyrulesinside theirproductionarea.Iwasamaze whenI saw how the productionareaoperates
mostof the workerinmitsumi are women,24,000 women employee and1000 menemployeetheir

inside the kepcotogenerate electricitythe usedcoal firedelectricitygenerationthatinvolvesburningof
thermal coal that has beenpulverizedtoa fine powdertomake iteasiertoburn.The isthenusedto

howthe productionandthe makingof cameras like inthe MITSUMI the usedhightech electronics
equipment.We are luckyto visitthatcompanyit wasa goodexperience.

companythe staff give us insightsonhow isitworking,tersdyne cebuismore onelectronicsdebugging
(hardware andsoftware) the workof a board specialistorbasicallyboardrepair.AsIlearninthe
discussionTeradyne usesATEautomatedtestequipmentthe use of ATEisto quicklytestprintedcircuit
boards,integratedICs,orany otherrelatedelectroniccomponentsormodules diagnosingfaultsin
complex electronicsystem.

4. Overall viewtoour companytours I can relate itto my majorsubjectinelectronicsbecause
all of the companythat we tour are usingnow electronicsdevices andequipmentalsosophisticated
electronicmachine,electronictodayplaythe biggestrulesinupgrading theirsystemeverynow and
then,as an electronicsstudentithasa bigbenefitstousknowingthe processandoperationof every
companywe visited itgive usanideawhat isthe actual workin everycompanywe visitedithelpusto
gainknowledge.Itwasamemorable experience tome,Iwasso luckyto be a part of that educational
fieldtripandseminars.
