Anchal Gangwal, a 24-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh, India, has become an Indian Air Force officer despite coming from an impoverished background as the daughter of a tea seller. Her father has worked as a tea seller in Bhopal for over 25 years and struggled to pay for her education, but she pursued her dream of joining the Air Force through hard work and perseverance. After seeing Air Force personnel help during floods in 2013, she was motivated to join. Through collecting information and passing her exams on the sixth attempt, she achieved her goal. Her success has inspired many and brought her father pride, though he was unable to see her commissioning due to COVID-19 restrictions.
