• Models can source data from practically any data source

• Power Query is the technology used to create model tables
• Upon the foundations, modelers can:
• Enhance column properties with default summarization, data categorization,
sorting, or formatting
• Add hierarchies to support drill down/up
• Add calculations to create new tables, columns, or measures, which summarize
model data
• Organize model fields into display folders
• Add roles to enforce row-level security (RLS) for different report user
