This document evaluates the Bring Back the Book initiative of the Nigerian government. It questions who will bring back the books and how the books will be brought back. It submits that the initiative cannot work because it is not a federal government project, it lacks leadership and structure, there are no established places to store the books in Nigeria, and many people do not have access or knowledge of how to read the books. It concludes that the initiative needs librarians and students must be taught reading to make it effective, but commends the president for having the initiative.
