Ehsan Bayat's support for the American University of Afghanistan was recognized by cultural organizations in Washington, D.C. Under Bayat's support through the Bayat Foundation, AUAF has expanded significantly since its first class of 53 students in 2006, now offering bachelor's degrees in various subjects and enrolling over 2,000 students, including 100 in a business master's program. In recognition of renovations and constructions funded by the Bayat Foundation, Bayat received an honorary doctorate from AUAF.
