Stephan Rasch from Deloitte Munich will discuss approaches to determining arm's length license rates, including cost plus, CUP, acquisition price, TNMM, and profit split methods. He will also cover limitations in Germany on the use of databases to determine rates for unique intangibles. The seminar will discuss trends in German tax audits regarding the allocation of risks in controlled transactions.
The document discusses various jQuery anti-patterns that can negatively impact performance and compression, and provides recommendations to improve them. It covers caching DOM selections and length, using document fragments to append content, leveraging event delegation, minimizing DOM touches, and optimizing selectors. It also discusses mangling variable names and using compression tools like YUI Compressor to reduce file size.
MHS provides mobile supply chain software and services to help hospitals optimize inventory management and save costs. MHS has over 1000 hospital customers nationwide and delivers an average 500% return on investment. Recent acquisitions expand their mobile technology and analytics capabilities to better serve healthcare clients.
Social media trends in 2012 included increased online shopping, interactive smart TV content through mobile devices, and more creative ways for users to connect and share experiences. Browser-based social gaming grew while downloaded games declined as consumers sought richer multiplayer experiences. Personalized search results incorporated more social elements, and businesses recognized social media as important communication channels with customers rather than just advertising platforms.

The document provides a history of the development of meteorology from ancient times to modern day. It discusses how Aristotle and Theophrastus made early contributions by writing about weather phenomena in 350 BC and establishing weather forecasting. Formal climatic zones were developed in 25 AD by PomponiusMela. Significant advances occurred in the 18th century with the establishment of observing networks and in the 20th century with the development of computers enabling improved weather forecasting. Key weather instruments like the anemometer, barometer, hygrometer, rain gauge and thermometer were invented over time to help measure important atmospheric variables.
The document discusses the benefits of meditation for reducing stress and anxiety. Regular meditation practice can help calm the mind and body by lowering heart rate and blood pressure. Making meditation a part of a daily routine, even if just 10-15 minutes per day, can have mental and physical health benefits over time by reducing stress levels and promoting relaxation.
This document discusses emotional affairs and their impact on relationships. It defines an emotional affair as a deep, intimate connection between partners that provides a certain intensity, though it may not be physical. Constituting emotional cheating involves concealing the extent of the relationship from one's spouse or making the other person feel more "special." Discovering an emotional affair can elicit feelings of guilt, sadness, anger, neglect, or being defensive in the betrayed partner. The document provides resources for rebuilding trust and healing the relationship after an emotional affair.
The document discusses a proposed UK Equity Bank that would allow homeowners aged 65+ to access equity in their homes to generate extra retirement income. It would work by the homeowner trading a portion of their home equity in exchange for an inflation-linked lifetime income from the bank. Upon the homeowner's death, the bank would recover the costs from the estate. The bank is proposed to address issues like income insecurity, isolation, and inability to pay for support as people age. It aims to better serve those with housing wealth but limited other assets or income. The document outlines how the bank could work, who it would target, potential administration models, and interactions with taxes and benefits.
The document provides examples of using proportions to solve problems involving similar triangles formed by objects and their shadows. It includes two examples: 1) Finding the length of one side of a similar triangle where the other sides are given. The length is found to be 12 feet. 2) Finding the height of a tree using the height and shadow length of a building and the shadow length of the tree. The height of the tree is found to be 14 feet. It also includes a practice problem to check understanding.
