This randomized clinical trial compared alveolar bone thickness and height changes between untreated controls and patients who underwent maxillary incisor advancement with either light tipping or bodily movement. The results showed that labial alveolar bone thickness was maintained with both tipping and bodily movement compared to untreated controls. Palatal bone thickness decreased more with tipping than bodily movement or controls. Labial and palatal alveolar bone heights were maintained with both tipping and bodily movement.
