A database consists of one or more tablespaces which can be either memory or disk tablespaces. A memory tablespace contains 32KB pages while a disk tablespace contains 8KB pages organized into segments, extents, and pages. Segments in disk tablespaces contain multiple 512KB extents which each contain 64 pages.
