This document discusses ALPSA injury, which is a type of glenohumeral instability where the anteroinferior labrum gets avulsed along with the periosteal sleeve of the glenoid. This causes the labrum+ligament+periosteum complex to become rotated internally, displaced medially, and fall behind the glenoid. Patients experience acute or recurrent dislocation, shoulder pain, and positive apprehension and relocation tests. Treatment involves arthroscopic labral repair and repair of any engaging Hill Sachs lesion.
