The author discusses how their "ate" Popay has been like a second mother to them. Popay cared for the author when their real mother was absent, doing things like making their lunch, cheering them up when they were sad about not having parents, and fighting for them if they got into trouble. The author was inspired to finish their studies because of Popay's encouragement and support. Popay showed the author love and care in ways their real mother could not.

1. My new life
I have now complete my process to fixed myself to put things back
where I been keep for a long period of time.
My mind is like a computer process it is destroy before now I download
the good stuff I done and fill it with a good memories.
Now I know where to start from the people who really cared for me.
My mom can’t help me now since I grow up by myself and bring myself
up to face the things the trials without them.
I feel sorry for my mom that she didn’t part of that embarrassment that
I get when she’s far away from us.

2. • She did know how much is the pain to graduated without parents and
your classmate tell you “Your mom left you and never love you”.
• One thing my ate Popay said “I will be here for you and she love me
more than a foster children”
• She is the one who always do my lunch before I go to school .
• She do everything to make me happy when I was so sad.
• She fight if I was in trouble or my classmate bully me.
• She is more than my Ate , my mom when I graduate she is there
beside me.
• She is the mom that very protective and fighter for the one she loves.
• She is not my nanny but my second mom who is a fighter on her
children or the one she loved.

3. • I made impossible thing because of her patient and loving hands that
no one can give me .
• Even we own that land we never kick them out in our own land “I love
my second mom she’s the best mom I know.”
• I can’t live alone without her loving hand she always said to me your
strong you can do anything you wanted.
• She allow me sometimes to sleep at my best friends house when its
too dark outside, when we do our project sometimes then we finish it
up at night time.
• If I need to do something she is the one I can talk too then if my
friend ask to go shopping and they have no one to go with them she
let me go out with them.

4. • And she is the one I can tell my problem at school when I feel shame
that I am the only one without parents at registering.
• She go with me registering for my school when I was elementary and
she cheer me up on that thing.
• She never leave me at anyone If only I trust the person so she bring
me to her work at market place.
• She never finish study but she encourage me to finish my study for
her then she is proud if I get high grades.
• She’s the one I inspired miss Marilou Maige that’s all I remember of
her name.
• If she has a children now she will be a good mother and fighter mom
when her child was in trouble.
