Learn how Ravensbourne University created a live-streaming workflow using solutions from AWS Elemental to reach hundreds of schools with educational events featuring the Royal Shakespeare Company. Within months, students and staff from Ravensbourne were able to build, test, and successfully broadcast high-quality video streams to thousands of students.

OTT for all
• AWS customers of all types want to deliver video to their customers
• Artistic events, training sessions, corporate communication, security, and so on
• Video delivered directly over the internet is called “Over The Top”
• This name comes from the broadcast industry and refers to sending video content to the
home using the existing internet connections
• Prior to OTT economics, many of these usage cases were not feasible

• AWS Media Services allow customers to own their own content
• Unlike other streaming platforms, AWS does not run ads over your content
• Nothing should get in the way of the customers relationship with their viewers
• AWS Media Services allow customers to scale with their success
• A customer streaming an event can easily stream multiple events at once
• Any stream can scale to serve many more viewers automatically
• When peak capacity needs have passed, no cost for unused capacity
