Mr. Williams teaches 11th grade American History. He graduated near the top of his high school class and has been a Sunday school teacher since 2016. In his class, students will learn about the Reconstruction era through the Watergate scandal and will learn to identify all US states and recite presidents from Washington to present. The class has rules against tardiness, profanity, cell phone use, and sleeping. Breaking rules will result in removal from class. Grading will be based on tests, papers, and classwork, with a test every week and paper every month. Field trips are planned to historic sites in Georgia and Alabama. The goal is for students to become educated American citizens who understand and apply the principles that built the

3. What will We learn???

legend/word bank

4. Class Rules
• After the bell has sounded, no students will be allowed into class with
a pass.
• No profanity. This includes the “N” word, Blaspheming “on God”, and
or speaking rudely of others.
• The usage of cell phones are not allowed.
• Sleeping is not tolerated. If you sleep you will be put out.
• Breaking of any of these rules will result in your removal from class.

5. Grading
• Test and Quizzes are worth 45%
• Papers are worth 30%
• Classwork is worth 25%
• There will be a chapter test every week.
• A 2 page paper will be assigned every month.
• Classwork depends on the chapter.
