1. Hardly 5 years after it was founded (in the later half of the 20th century), this company was
declared bankrupt and has been defunct since then (another company having the same
name exists since 1995 but deals mainly in car parts). They were known for manufacturing
just one kind of model which was said to be overpriced managing to sell only 9000 units.
The model got recognition (after bankruptcy) only because its ‘extra-terrestrial’ look caught
the eye of a person of Lithuanian and Italian descent.
Name the company and what made its sole model famous. (4+1)

2. In the 1920s, this design became very popular with a particular
group of people who exploited it a lot.
Its, rather ominous name comes from the fact that it was life-
threatening (both intentional and unintentional) in the pre-seat
belt era.

utilized this design to the fullest.

3. The lesser known (and lesser believed perhaps?) theory about the origin of the name
of the first model were actually attributed to the fact that after leaving the front during
WWI, soldiers were given ‘little pieces of paper’ which would send them to Paris, Brussels
or England to ‘have a gala time’ (in every perverted sense of the expression).
This explanation was given by a person who had interviewed the engineer who helped
build the cars.
(Personally, I think the popular theory makes more sense.)

4. Loved by most, its popularity led to air-freshener manufacturers trying to replicate it (and many
have succeeded apparently with hundreds of products being currently available). Sadly though, it
was found (by a study in 2001) to contain toxic compounds like benzene, formaldehyde, and
toluene amongst a host of others. Many less harmful simulations were tried out since, one of
them using secretions from a particular sack found in a beaver’s buttocks (ouch!).
So, what am I talking about here?

Will accept variations like Smell of a new car, new car odor, etc. but the words
new and car have to be there.

5. The few available black-and-white photos were studied for days, videos were watched countless
times, and in an epic CGI-based restoration project, some of the greatest moments in motorsports
history of a particular company were recreated in 12 highly detailed graphic images.

6. Now for a little car-related nature funda.
There’s a quaint little town overlooking the Hudson Bay, far north of Manitoba which ranks pretty low
on the accessibility scale. People still have cars though, and weirdly enough they always keep them
unlocked (they do the same with their houses too!).
What is the reason behind this?

To help pedestrians escape polar bear attacks.
• Churchill, Canada, is colloquially called the Polar Bear capital of
the world with signs like these all around town. Polar bear
attacks are not uncommon at all. Hence.

8. Until very recently this was on sale at a museum in Illinois, which buys and sells vintage cars among
other things. It was advertised as having a working smoke screen generator and a pretty real looking

and gadgets.

many of them who resorted to illegal means of procuring and transporting moonshine and other
cheap liquor. To do that, and in the process escape the cops, they had to depend on faster vehicles.

14. There are various different theories behind the origin of this word and one has a direct automobile
connection. Legend has it that during the early 1900s, fans of the Green Bay Packers used to park their
trucks around the field and fold down the rear end to sit and watch the games. Naturally it involved
food and beverages to replenish all the energy spent.

As of 2014, China and the U.S. led the production of this
commodity followed by India and Canada. Out of the 44
million tons produced in the U.S., 43% alone was spent
in a sector closely related to the automobile industry.
Canada, strangely, spends just 4.9 million tons in the
same sector (maybe because of the fact that much of
the country is sparsely populated, perhaps?).

for seat covers mimicking the original design. The only difference though, was that it featured an

manufacturer Holden had a model, the Sandman, which was very popular, particularly with young
couples. It acquired a two-word rhyming moniker, which sounds kind of perverted at first, but it
actually referred to the fact that the owners would pimp it up with a particular kind of fleecy carpet
and make it their own pleasure van.
Recently, this moniker came into the spotlight due to the sequel of a 1994 hit comedy movie, which
