Sure maybe you may not have heard
the name Tim Burton al-
though odds have it you have seen
something either, created or written
by him.
Born on August 25, 1958, in Bur-
bank, California,however Burbank
may not be as well known as Holly-
wood. Birth place of many well known
TV icons such as NBC,
Warner Brothers, as well as Disney.
After graduating high school, Tim
went on to college to attend The Art
Institute of California. Following
graduating with his degree he soon
landed an animation job with Disney .
Sadly, not being pleased with that line
of work he was not being used to his
fullest potential.
After wrapping up with his anima-
tion stent, he was soon off on his own
project. One of his first projects he
wrote a poem and created artwork for
what would be “The Nightmare Before
Christmas”. The short films “Vincent”
and “Frankenweenie”were hits also.
After “Frankenweenie”, Tim Burton
landed in directing. Steven King had
seen the short film,he spoke with
others at Warner Brothers. The rest is
history from here on out..
Next on Burtons list of accomplish-
ments, was Beetlejuice and Batman.
Following these films, a family hit
Edward Sissorhands,Batman Returns,
and Batman Forever.
In 2010, he did a twist on Alice in
Wonderland. Despite the name it was
not a remake more of a sequel to the
Disney Classic.
