I have graduated from the Dental School in the International University of
Science and Technology in 2013. Having successfully completed my studies, I was
placed as a general dental practitioner in several dental clinics in Damascus – Syria
and Erbil- Iraq. I heightened my profile at this albeit early stage, being invited to
lecture to young dentists around the country. During the early stage of my dental
career I was focusing on improving my restorative and endodontic skills, till I was
merely working with oral referral cases. Three years ago, I shifted my diagnosis
protocol more toward CBCT and started my first steps toward adopting the dental
digital workflow. That drove me into conducting research in this domain and I was
fortunate to graduate from KU leuven university where I did my postgraduate
training and research in advanced medical imaging. My research focuses were
dental 3D printing where I published my first scientific paper and 3D Orthognathic
Surgery Navigation Systems.
Currently I am 3D dental implant planning and investigating into endodontic-related
radiographical anomalies based on CBCT data sets while also doing a general
dentistry internship in one of the finest hospital in Brussels.
Progressing in my career in additional post-graduate qualifications and building a
portfolio of achievements means that I am nothing short of an ambitious dentist ,
and I am really looking forward to have the chance to practice dentistry in Belgium.

Maxillofacial Trauma 3D Planning
The Presented X-rays are snapshots from a case I planned in Belgium and the surgery was executed
by a maxillofacial surgeon in Syria.
The patient has already gone through an emergency surgery after surviving a bombing event in
Syria during the current war circumstances .
For the less than optimal execution of the surgery the patient developed acute infection and loss of
function .
We opted for restoring the lost mandibular bone with a
PEEK implant

As a part of the OMFS-IMPATH research
group in KUL we conducted an a research to
assess the effect of two of the most
commonly used sterilization techniques on
3D printed clinical objects, and we came to
conclude that Sterilization of 3D printed
dental objects to be used in a clinical
setting may lead to deformation of the
printed model, especially for heat

only for the face as a whole but segmented the facial profile in a
reproducible way to have a better understanding of the software
