Walt Disney World was the author's childhood, from early morning drives seeing the Disney sign to late nights watching fireworks. Main Street, USA perfectly captured Walt Disney's hometown from his childhood in the 1950s with Victorian architecture and horse-drawn carriages. Inside the facades were shops selling souvenirs and sweets. The day would end with the author and other children rushing to see Mickey Mouse before leaving with smiles, their faces beaming from the memories that would be forever embedded in their hearts. Walt Disney recreated his childhood from scratch to create childhood memories for all through the magic of Disney World.
