Reference for Alex Seivewright
My name is Derek Vigar and I am a full-time Professor with the School of Management at
George Brown College in Toronto. I wanted to take this opportunity to share my insights
on Alex Seivewright, who is a former student of mine.
I met Alex in 2015 as a member of my Introductory Project Management course.
Each year, over 1,000 students take this course, however Alex’s attitude and commitment
really stood out through demonstrating:
• Exceptional leadership in project work teams
• A work ethic that was committed to achieving high results
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, teams and large groups
• The capability to learn & apply business concepts quickly
• A personality that allowed him to earn the respect of his peers and instructors
Through demonstrating these skills, Alex earned a perfect 4.0 GPA (an “A+”) in this Project
Management course. He was the valuable leader of a team throughout the semester that
produced quality final project deliverables. On top of all this, the team really enjoyed
working with Alex, and you could see that he left a positive impression on everyone. All of
these are outstanding accomplishments, and definitely a reflection of his character and
capabilities.
Based on my experiences, I view Alex as one of the stand-out, hard-working, well-rounded,
energetic young professionals that our program works to develop and graduate. I am
excited for Alex and the opportunities that are in front of him if he continues to demonstrate
these skills.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to further discuss.
