Alaska has a population of around 722,718 people. About half live in the Anchorage metropolitan area. Juneau is the capital city. Temperatures range from -80°F to 100°F. Agriculture represents a small part of Alaska's economy, which relies more on industries like fishing, mining, and tourism. Popular activities include hunting and fishing for salmon, trout and other game. Denali National Park and Augustine Volcano are notable destinations. Famous Alaskans include basketball players Mario Chalmers and Carlos Boozer.
