III `` module and the lessons learned
1.1 What have I learned?
It is very simple and vague for anyone to say that the computer and the Internet
encourage and accelerate the learning of L2. However, only the tools are not able
to build something solid and perennial. You must have mastery of them.
Without doubt, among all the content, what most caught my attention was the
quote from Garret (1996), "... the effect of CALL can not be based only on the
tools that will be used, but on the way in which they will be used.
It means….
We, teachers, should be humble and learn to use these tools so that we reach
everyone in the classroom!!!
1.2 What else to learn?
I believe I need to enhance my capabilities with program formatting tools,
document editing, and interactive whiteboard manipulation. In this way, I
missed, along the module Tech III, tutorials that teach lay people to master
these modern teaching tools.

1.3 New skills acquired
My new lesson plan will be packed with new CD Rom exercises
that meet my EL expectations. But do not let for even one minute
to apply the most important lesson of this Pos Graduation: to
promote Digital Literacy. All technical knowledge is valid.
However, as opinion makers and character builders, encouraging
miscegenation of ideas, breaking ethnic barriers through a common
language and promoting cultural interaction transcends the walls of
the school. All of this can be achieved, basically, through what we
had been taught in the Tech III material.

´´An essential part of making students independent learners
is to help them become aware of their
needs, know their learning styles, maximize their strengths,
and work on their weaknesses,
which is done through interaction with specific tasks and
materials. However, this can only be
achieved if the learners are willing to work. Interest and
motivation are therefore two important
factors in learning, and the Internet offers a wide variety of
different topics suited to individual
tastes and learning styles, as the information can be received
through text, audio or video,
images and graphics. Students can use any of the search
engines to find topics which interest
them and the teacher can design generic worksheets to work
on special areas.``

3. Improvements in teaching methodologies through the module
My future projects are to integrate my didactics integrally with what was taught in
this module. Although I do not have access to several tools that would stimulate
my students, I believe that it can spark interest in the lnguage through my own
example. I will show that learning is something constant and eternal. Together, me
and my students, despite belonging to the '' Expanding Circle '' mentioned by
Moran (2014), will make the language practice constant and perennial. Through
the exchange of emails, use of interactive material and contact with other nations,
even in the classroom, we will accelerate the learning with dedication and
effectiveness.

4. My own note after all
I wish I had more time to read all the material
more calmly. I have been working for a year on
the occupation and pacification of the favelas of
RJ and the access to the internet and time were
scarce. It hurt me a lot. I devoted myself as much
as possible. My interest in material and self-
improvement were, on several occasions,
interrupted by emergency calls.
Finally, note 6 would be fair. Just because I
could not absorb everything the teachers tried to
do. This last matter was, undoubtedly, the one
that caught my attention the most. The material
was objective, clear and with very important
content.
As the last test and subject of the course, I thank
God and the staff of Estácio de Sa College for
this walk with so much sweat.

  • 4. Faculdade Estácio de Sá – Pós EAD Ensino da Língua Inglesa 1. The ´´USO DE NOVAS TECNOLOGIAS NO ENSINO DA LÍNGUA INGLESA III `` module and the lessons learned 1.1 What have I learned? It is very simple and vague for anyone to say that the computer and the Internet encourage and accelerate the learning of L2. However, only the tools are not able to build something solid and perennial. You must have mastery of them. Without doubt, among all the content, what most caught my attention was the quote from Garret (1996), "... the effect of CALL can not be based only on the tools that will be used, but on the way in which they will be used. It means…. We, teachers, should be humble and learn to use these tools so that we reach everyone in the classroom!!! 1.2 What else to learn? I believe I need to enhance my capabilities with program formatting tools, document editing, and interactive whiteboard manipulation. In this way, I missed, along the module Tech III, tutorials that teach lay people to master these modern teaching tools.

The ´´USO DE NOVAS TECNOLOGIAS NO ENSINO DA LÍNGUA INGLESA III `` module and the lessons learned 1.3 New skills acquired My new lesson plan will be packed with new CD Rom exercises that meet my EL expectations. But do not let for even one minute to apply the most important lesson of this Pos Graduation: to promote Digital Literacy. All technical knowledge is valid. However, as opinion makers and character builders, encouraging miscegenation of ideas, breaking ethnic barriers through a common language and promoting cultural interaction transcends the walls of the school. All of this can be achieved, basically, through what we had been taught in the Tech III material. Sensational!!!!

Useful materials for learning The Article: HELPING STUDENTS BECOME AUTONOMOUS LEARNERS: CAN TECHNOLOGY HELP? by Rubena St. Louis Universidad Simón Bolívar, Caracas, Venezuela - slrubena2003 @ yahoo.com ´´An essential part of making students independent learners is to help them become aware of their needs, know their learning styles, maximize their strengths, and work on their weaknesses, which is done through interaction with specific tasks and materials. However, this can only be achieved if the learners are willing to work. Interest and motivation are therefore two important factors in learning, and the Internet offers a wide variety of different topics suited to individual tastes and learning styles, as the information can be received through text, audio or video, images and graphics. Students can use any of the search engines to find topics which interest them and the teacher can design generic worksheets to work on special areas.`` TEACHER'S RESPONSIBILITY !!!

Improvements in teaching methodologies through the module My future projects are to integrate my didactics integrally with what was taught in this module. Although I do not have access to several tools that would stimulate my students, I believe that it can spark interest in the lnguage through my own example. I will show that learning is something constant and eternal. Together, me and my students, despite belonging to the '' Expanding Circle '' mentioned by Moran (2014), will make the language practice constant and perennial. Through the exchange of emails, use of interactive material and contact with other nations, even in the classroom, we will accelerate the learning with dedication and effectiveness.
  • 9. Faculdade Estácio de Sá – Pós EAD Ensino da Língua Inglesa 4. My own note after all I wish I had more time to read all the material more calmly. I have been working for a year on the occupation and pacification of the favelas of RJ and the access to the internet and time were scarce. It hurt me a lot. I devoted myself as much as possible. My interest in material and self- improvement were, on several occasions, interrupted by emergency calls. Finally, note 6 would be fair. Just because I could not absorb everything the teachers tried to do. This last matter was, undoubtedly, the one that caught my attention the most. The material was objective, clear and with very important content. As the last test and subject of the course, I thank God and the staff of Estácio de Sa College for this walk with so much sweat. ´´ Para que outros possam viver ``
