This document discusses the evolution of KDE and its community. It notes that KDE has a welcoming community focused on creating great free software to scratch technical itches and empower users. However, the world is changing rapidly with new devices, cloud services, and convergence. To continue advancing, KDE plans to develop a clear vision and strategy, focus efforts on key initiatives and products, improve recruiting and onboarding, simplify online presence, and better leverage social media outreach. Progress will be made through community discussion and each person doing a small part to move KDE forward.
