This document describes a new micro-CPAP device called Airing that treats obstructive sleep apnea without hoses, masks, or cords. It has received positive feedback from backers for its potential to improve compliance over traditional CPAP machines that 80% of users stop using within a year due to discomfort. Airing aims to change that by using micro-blowers and an innovative design to maintain a comfortable seal and airflow through the nostrils without bulky equipment.

A prevalent sleep problem that affects millions of people worldwide is sleep apnea. It is characterized by breathing pauses as you sleep, lasting between a few seconds and many minutes. These pauses can occur multiple times per hour and disrupt sleep, leading to daytime fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and other health problems. In this presentation, Shawn Younessi explains sleep apnea and its causes is critical to proper diagnosis and treatment.
Indian Dental Academy: will be one of the most relevant and exciting training center with best faculty and flexible training programs for dental professionals who wish to advance in their dental practice,Offers certified courses in Dental implants,Orthodontics,Endodontics,Cosmetic Dentistry, Prosthetic Dentistry, Periodontics and General Dentistry.
Types of sleep apnea exist, and your physician diagnoses the specific type you have. The most common types are obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and central sleep apnea (CSA). While not actually a separate category, mixed sleep apnea (MSA), which shows characteristics of both OSA and CSA at different times during sleep, is also diagnosed.
There are many tests used to provide a diagnosis for OSA, depending on whether you go to a pulmonologist or an otolaryngologist/head & neck surgeon. But all initial diagnostic procedures are designed to determine if your airway becomes blocked while you are asleep. If so, this will cause your brain to "wake up" several times throughout the night, generally resulting in loud snoring, pauses of breathing (apnea), and more frequent awakenings.
There is almost zero awareness in India that many amongst us maybe living with Sleep Apnoea, which left untreated could be life threatening tomorrow. This largely undiagnosed and untreated sleeping disorder puts both adults and children at risk of developing behavioural and medical problems with far reaching consequences.
DRIVERS WITH UNTREATED OSA ARE A DANGER TO THEMSELVES, A HAZARD TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND A SIGNIFICANT LIABILITY FOR YOUR COMPANY. IF YOU ARE NOT TESTING, TREATING, AND MONITORING YOUR ENGINEERS FOR OSA YOU ARE PUTTING UNSAFE DRIVERS AT THE CONTROLS.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea a type of sleep disorderGunalan M.M
OSA, or Obstructive Sleep Apnea, is a sleep disorder characterized by repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep due to blocked or narrowed airways. This obstruction can lead to fragmented sleep, daytime fatigue, and other health complications if left untreated. Treatment options include lifestyle changes, CPAP therapy, and in some cases, surgery.

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

This comprehensive endeavor encompasses various stages, including target identification, preclinical studies, clinical trials, regulatory approval, and post-market surveillance. It involves multidisciplinary collaboration among scientists, researchers, clinicians, regulatory experts, and pharmaceutical companies to bring innovative therapies to market and address unmet medical needs.
