TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
My name is Pauline Davenport and I am Assistant Principal of Tennant Creek High School. I have known
Aimee-Leigh Frencken for the past 7 years both as her teacher and as Assistant Principal.
Aimee-Leigh completed Year 12 at Tennant Creek High School and is currently working at Catholic Care
with the personal help and mentors service. Since leaving school I have witnessed Aimee developing into a
strong and passionate advocate for young people with a desire to help other people both young and old.
She strives to help to raise awareness of mental health issues in the community and support members of
the community who are suffering from mental health issues.
Aimee-Leigh works with young women from the school and recently made a significant effort to help our
students to prepare for their school formal by ensuring that all students, from all backgrounds, had access
to formal clothes and expertise in hair and make-up. This made all the difference to our students and
demonstrated how Aimee cares for others.
Aimee-Leigh understands the community and the issues facing young people through unemployment,
domestic violence, drugs and alcohol and want s to be part of the solution to remove barriers preventing
young people from succeeding in life. Both at school and now in the community Aimee has been an active
‘Stronger Sister’ playing a mentor role for young women both in sports and other wellbeing aspects of their
lives.
I believe that Aimee-Leigh would be an excellent advocate for young people in Tennant Creek and has the
confidence to speak out on behalf of young people and help to make a difference in the community.
