On this project, Cleveland Clinic – Abu Dhabi I held the position of MEP
Construction Manager, My Scope was Managing, supervising the installation,
Testing and Commissioning of all MEP Works in the Patient Tower which
consists of 13 Floors as follows:
• 7 Floors Ordinary Patient Rooms (36 Rooms each)with Medical rooms
• 2 Floors for VIP Patient Rooms (18 Rooms Each)
• 1 Floor for VIP Patient Suites (6 Nos.) with Services.
• 3 Mechanical Floors.
My Responsibilities were:
- Planning, Managing and supervising the installation of 1st and 2nd fix
of all electromechanical activities (which were done on time) by

3. coordinating the services with RLOS drawings and with the site
conditioning in order to have the final product functional, useful, fits for
purpose and accessible for future maintenance above false ceiling, And
by solving all the problems related to that with the designer and the
architect and the installation team without affecting the overall design.
- Managing and supervising FIREM (Final Fix) installations and approvals
by the engineer, this is also done on time as per the planned targets, by
having the final product with the best condition ready to be tested.
- CIR, ICDR Follow up.
- Testing and commissioning for all MEP Services Like (Fire Alarm,
MSFD, Central Battery, Emergency System, Lighting Control System,
Access Control, Nurse Call System, Pneumatic System, Medical Gas
System, Novac System, Fire Fighting System, PAS, CCTV, AVS, DB and
SMDB Life Test, EMCS, Air Proportional Test, Pressurization and
smoke Fans, Air Balancing, Water Balancing, Plumbing System, Drainage
System, PFT and FT for all systems. Assuring that all testing stages and
integrations between related systems with BMS and EMCS is in the best
condition exactly the way it meant to be in the specification and by
witnessing and signing off all the above systems by an third party
