As a talented civil engineer I am intimately familiar with key competencies for the role, such as

My work experience starts with a company I co-founded in 2011; Elasticity Lifts and Information
Technologies; in a role where I was required to plan and manage processes, make assessments
and also supervise different aspects of the work processes, in addition to making technical
reports. This is exactly the type of experience you are looking for in an applicant. After resigning
from my managerial role in my company i got into the NGOs world where I started at ACTED as a
WATSAN Technician Engineer for about 6 months at the WASH project where I participated in
different WASH infrastructure rehabilitation, construction and installation projects, in addition to
Train junior technicians, prepare BOQs, and suggesting designs. Then I moved to the Norwegian
Refugee Council as a Senior Engineering Assistant I Civil Engineer at the Zaatari Refugee Camp
where I was responsible for designing the storm water drainage network at the camp in addition
to evaluating and suggesting a maintenance procedure for the roads network. I was also part of
many other infrastructure and construction projects at the camp. At last I moved to work as a
Shelter Associate at UNHCR where assisting the preparation of the Jordan Response Plan in
addition to being the custodian site planner of the master plan for Azraq and Zaatari Camps.
Furthermore I would like to state that I am keen to join a winning team and reputable

UNHCR - Amman B.O: My main duties are:
1. Assists the Head of Unit with the preparation of the Shelter Sector of the Jordan Response
Plan and, Refugee and Resilience Plan including attending meetings, preparing minutes of
meetings, reporting, etc.
2. Assists the Chairs of the Shelter Sector in setting up Sector’s meetings including preparation
of agenda, minutes of meetings, reporting, follow-up on actions with all concerned, etc.
3. In-charge of the Design Development and Modifications of transitional shelters (T-Shelters),
market areas and other camps’ facilities including preparation of drawings, BOQs, address
system, cost estimates, etc.
4. Acts as the custodian of the master plan for Azraq and Zaatari camps; introduce
modifications as necessary, ensure as built drawings are continuously updated, allocate spaces
to services/partners as may deem necessary in coordination with supervisor.
5. Supports Zaatari camp technical team in the restructuring of the camp which might include
having to work in Zaatari as may be needed
6. Conducts frequent visits to Azraq and Zaatari camps as may be necessary
7. Attends Technical Evaluation of tenders
8. Prepares specifications, drawings and BOQs for UNHCR premises or as may be needed
9. Prepares monthly reports and verification for shelter activities in camp and urban settings
including Activity Info, Dashboard, Inter Sector Working Group, Shelter Working Group, etc.
10. Co-lead sub-working groups/task forces of the Shelter Working Group, including Shelter
Strategy, Conditional Cash for Rent, Upgrading of Substandard Housing, Increased Housing
Units in Unfinished Buildings in Urban/Rural Settings, Increased awareness on lease rights,
Sealing off kits, etc…including the formulation of technical guidelines

ACTED - Mafraq BO. My main duties were:
1. To implement weekly plans and field visits.
2. To ensure the quality and efficiency of all field work done relevant to Infrastructure
rehabilitation.
3. To submit any relevant paperwork, photos, GPS to WATSAN at the end of each day.
4. To participate in data collection, surveys and assessments with beneficiaries.
5. To assist in the identification and location of beneficiaries when requested.
6. To assist with key engineering tasks, such as completion of site assessments and
preparation of Bills Of Quantities (BOQs).
7. To act as a clear communication channel between ACTED, contractors, sub-contractors and
beneficiaries.

Elasticity Lifts & Information Technology: My Main Duties were:
Co-Founded Elasticity Lifts and Information Technology Est.
The company was divided into two divisions the first was responsible for the installation
and maintenance of lifts and elevators in addition to making elevators’ control panels.
The second division was the IT division which was entitled as “Fikra Social Technologies”
to be responsible for software and web development in addition to viral and social
marketing.
I was in a role where I was required to plan and manage processes, make assessments
and also supervise different aspects of the work processes, in addition to making
technical reports.
Part of my responsibilities were:
1- Dealing with landlords and owners.
2- Preparing business proposals for the projects.
3- Planning out the timeline of the projects.
4- Supervising contractors and labors working on site while providing technical support
and supervision as required to ensure best quality.
5- Providing projects design including the preparation and review of technical drawings.
6- Making regular onsite inspections to assure projects beings on schedule and to inspect
the construction materials.
