The document discusses agile practices like Scrum, Kanban, and extreme programming. It notes that teams have adopted many agile practices but quality assurance still needs work. It proposes embedding quality activities earlier in development by collaborating between product owners, architects, and developers. Specific techniques mentioned include continuous integration, test-driven development, and refactoring code. The document concludes with suggestions for backlog items like building a shared quality vision, standardizing processes, and promoting agile testing practices in teams.
Introduction to SAFe, the Scaled Agile Frameworksrondal
Learn more about the scaled Agile Framework + scaling Agile. After a short introduction to several frameworks that aim to support the scaling of Agile (DAD, LeSS, SAFe®), this power point presentation from our webinar dives deeper into the details of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). Find the truth behind the often cited sentence “As Scrum is to the Agile team, SAFe® is to the Agile enterprise.”

The Future of Collaboration in Project Management: Boost Team Engagement with...Aggregage
Agile Methodology has led to an era of transparency and collaboration within software and development teams. However, as many project managers have discovered, agile can work in non-technical teams as well. But how about managing both? How do we bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams to create a holistically agile project? The key is engagement. The engineering team doesn't need to have marketing degrees, and the marketing team doesn’t need a coding bootcamp. What they do need is a sense of engagement in each aspect of the project, and the ability to collaborate as effectively as possible.

An Introduction to SAFe: The Scaled Agile FrameworkTechWell
Many organizations have achieved agility at the team level only to be unable to achieve it across teams. The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) provides both a vision and method for how to achieve this. SAFe is the first documented framework that can be used to scale agile throughout an organization. It is a combination of lean, kanban, and Scrum—lean to provide a context for an organization, kanban to manage the flow of projects, and Scrum to provide agile at the team level. Beginning with an introduction to lean and kanban, Ken Pugh explains why they are required for agile at scale. Ken then describes the framework of SAFe—specifically how it creates a structure to manifest the behaviors required for agile at scale. In particular, learn how to coordinate your organization’s portfolio, programs, and projects. Ken concludes by discussing when it is advisable to use the framework and when a more emergent method is preferable.
Sa fe 4.0 implementing Enterprise Agile using the Scaled Agile Frameworkevatjohnson
The adoption of Agile is spreading across various industries, in organizations of all sizes. However, most experts agree that scaling Agile for enterprise use is a challenge. SAFe®, the Scaled Agile Framework, was created to resolve this problem. SAFe® provides a fully controlled way to adopt and scale Agile across large companies, and to align Agile processes to business strategy.
The Scaled Agile Framework's latest edition 4.0 introduces the optional Value Stream level to synchronize all the Agile Release Trains, as well as other updates compared to SAFe® 3.0. Our webinar helps you to learn more about implementing enterprise Agile with the Scaled Agile Framework, and the differences between SAFe®'s previous versions and its recently released 4.0.
Good software engineering practices are key to building quality and in this talk we’ll have a whistle stop tour of a range of techniques that often sit under the ‘XP’ umbrella such as TDD (Test Driven Development), Pair Programming, BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) and more generally Continuous Delivery.
In early January, 2000 Hohman's team began a series of weekly developer lunches. The team was in a transition toward using many of XP’s suggested lightweight practices. As part of and in order to facilitate this transition, they developed a collaborative method called mob programming. The term “mob programming” is whimsically derived from the term “pair programming,” and indicates the practice of refactoring code in groups larger than two developers. The purpose for this refactoring focuses less on writing code that we will use later and more on encouraging healthy discussion.

BUSINESS MODEL ENGINE Culture vs. BUSINESS PLAN Culture: Who Will Win this Cl...Rod King, Ph.D.
Today, there is a growing dichotomy in organizational culture regarding the planning, organization, and management of new business projects. Established companies have a "Business Plan" culture where improvement projects are approved and implemented based on a business plan. Established companies focus on business model improvement and scaling. In contrast, startups are eschewing the traditional business plan and focusing on visually presenting and managing emerging, innovative (yet-to-be-discovered but potentially highly profitable and disruptive) business models or "business model engines." Below, I present the two apparently conflicting cultures. Who Will Win In this Clash of Cultures Especially in Your Organization?
Why join a carbon club? A study of the banks participating in the Brazilian "...FGV Brazil
Originally published in the Journal of Cleaner Production.
Why do firms that present low levels of (direct) carbon emissions participate in “carbon clubs”, which have the goal of managing and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions? In order to answer this question, we collected data from both primary and secondary sources from firms operating in the Brazilian banking sector, which are members of the Businesses for Climate Platform (Plataforma Empresas pelo Clima, EPC). We first looked for answers in the institutional theory and resource based view of the firm (RBV). By confronting the arguments presented by these streams of scientific enquiry with empirical data, we worked on theory testing. In particular, we analyzed the institutional pressures and resources and capabilities of the focus companies, in order to understand the rationales for proactive sustainability management. We found evidences of the arguments presented by both the institutional theory and the RBV. By studying an industry that is not a frequent subject to research on socio-environmental issues - for not being considered of high impact - in an emerging market economy, the research contributes to both the further development of the institutional theory and the advancement of sustainability management in corporations.

Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.
