1. On the orders of Uttar Pradesh government following an Allahabad High Court
directive, the the district administration in Ghaziabad has banned use of polythene bags
from January 22.
2. As many as 80 industrial units in Ghaziabad have been sealed by the Pollution Control
Board in compliance with orders passed by Allahabad High Court following a Public
interest litigation (PIL) filed by an advocate, officials said.
