An 85-year-old man presents to hospital with
a sudden onset of severe abdominal pain.
The pain is poorly localised and involves the
whole of his abdomen.
On examination, he is distressed and is also in atrial fibrillation.
Abdominal examination shows generalised tenderness and
rebound tenderness but no rigidity. Pain is out of proportion of
physical findings
