This document discusses a study on preparing high school students to take the ACCUPLACER placement test. Four college preparatory classes were selected - two English classes and two trigonometry classes. The students were given instruction on test-taking strategies and took the ACCUPLACER as a pre-test. After eight weeks of additional preparation, they re-took the test. The results showed improved scores on the post-test, indicating that preparing high schoolers for the ACCUPLACER can help reduce the need for remedial college classes.
