applications. Three main
scenarios are covered:
workloads migration
to public cloud,
backup of on-premise
environments to a
disaster recovery virtual
site on public cloud,
management of hybrid
cloud environments.
The solution is based on Commvault technology in synergy with the other technologies used
to developed the solution such as: VMware, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Database, and
the target environments on public cloud (AWS and Azure).
Migration of the
workloads is usually the
most complicated part
of a migration to public
cloud journey. Using a
framework of processes
and automated tools it
is possible to reduce
the complexity of the
migration and ensure
a smooth transition to
cloud. This has been
tested and validated in
ACIC and it is available
as a reference for
interested customers.
The solution is based
on one single tool
to manage all the
environments. The
migration lifecycle is
reduced with automatic
workloads type
conversion, providing
protection during the
migration at the same
time.

The solution is based on Commvault technology. in synergy with the other technologies
used to developed the solution such as: Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure solutions (including
Openstack, Cloudforms, Ansible, Ceph, Swift and Openshift), VMware
The best practices
to protect data in a
Openstack environment
are still not very well
defined. This use case
can be considered
one of the possible
reference architecture
for data protection
in such environment.
The design and the
solution implementation
has been tested and
validated in ACIC and it
is available for demos.
The solution is based
on one single tool to
protect both VM and
the Openstack platform
itself. Data protection is
achieved agentless and
the restore can be done
at file level granularity.

compliant with GDPR
regulation, providing
an initial snapshot of
data security status,
highlighting the level
of risk associated with
that data, suggesting a
number of quick wins
to improve security
posture, and informing
the GDPR program of
the scale remediation to
resolved data security

The tool used for data
protection is used also
to perform automatic
discovery on different
environments. This
approach ensures very
quick results compared
to manual assessments,
reducing costs and
avoiding to outsource
