The   Academy Awards, popularly known as Oscars, are presented annually to recognize excellence of professionals in film industry. You will be working as journalists in a cinema magazine. Your task will consist of writing an article about Oscar for this magazine. In the article, you will not only include a brief summary about the history of The Academy Awards, but also a top-ranking of the 5 movies that you consider the best ones of the cinema history. The goal of this activity is to develop a critical attitude towards the film industry and to promote the pleasure for cinema .

You will be working in  groups of five . The final product you will create is the article for the magazine. It is highly recommended to use a power point or other visual instruments to persuade your classmates that your article is the one which deserves to be published by the magazine . In  order to write the article about The Academy Awards, you will need to search information about the history of the Awards, the prizewinner films and actors.
Follow the steps in order to complete the task: Step 1: form groups of five Step 2: you will share out the different tasks among the members of the group. This project is focused on the way film critics do their job. The aim is “to be in their shoes”, not only watching films for pleasure but with a critical judgement.  They will also get informed of the curiosities about the awards and the work of all the film crew to comprehend the whole elaboration of the different films .
