CURRENT POSITION OF ARTS AWARD
•Arts Award is working across a range of settings,
including schools, arts organisations, young
people’s agencies, children’s homes, PRUs, etc.
•Across England, over 60,000 young people have
achieved an Arts Award
•As from 1 April, ALEM will be working with TMC to
deliver demanding Arts Award targets
•April will also launch two new Arts Awards

HOW ARTS AWARD WORKS
•Builds on criteria of Communication, Creativity, Art Form
Knowledge & Understanding, Planning & Review
•Young people must do their Arts Award through a
registered Arts Award Centre
•To become an Arts Award Centre (organisation or
individual), you must be a trained Arts Award Advisor
•Training is offered each month (Bronze & Silver) in EM
•Arts Award Advisors then deliver Arts Award
•Young people’s work is then externally moderated

valuable qualification.
