2. Mohammed Sadiq , 10
year old, was
terminally-ill being
diagnosed with
advanced blood
cancer.
He, a Class IV student,
had to drop out of
school after being
diagnosed with the
disease.
3. But that didn’t stop Mohammed Sadiq from his
dreams of becoming a police commissioner.
NGO ‘Make a Wish’ contacted the Police Commissioner
Mr Mahender Reddy who made it become a reality for
one day.
4. A guard of honour was
mounted with armed
men and a music band at
the portico, while several
policemen and media
waited.
On Wednesday morning, the Police Commissioner office
got ready to receive “the Police Commissioner”.
Soon a police vehicle rolled in and Mohammed stepped
out, accompanied by two police officers.
5. Clad in a khaki uniform, Mohammed received the guard
of honour and walked in. The policemen saluted him.
He ‘signed’ few official documents and headed to the
conference hall to address the media.
6. “I want to catch rowdies and bring peace in the state,”
said Mohammed Sadiq with a smile when asked what
he would do as commissioner.
Mohammed was inspired by his uncle and other family
members working in the police department.
“When I get well, I want to study more and become a
police officer,” he said.
