3. ACADEMIC GPA
Semestral Index: Corresponds to the subjects
with academic credits in a semester
You obtain it, multiplying the number of credits
per subject studied in the semester times the
value of the obtained grade. Add all these values
and divide the total amount by the total amount
of credits.
If a subject was removed, the amount of credits of
that subject won’t be taken into account.

Elective A (4) 1 4
Psychology B (3) 4 12
TOTAL 20 59 2.95
5. ACCUMULATIVE INDEX
The accumulative index corresponds to all the subjects
the student has studied throughout it’s academic career.
You obtain it, multiplying the number of credits per
subject times the value of the obtained grade. This time
you must include all the subjects the student has studied
so far. Add all these values and divide the total amount by
the total amount of credits.

8. ACADEMIC CONDITION
At the end of each semester the academic
development is evaluated and an academic
condition is determined which could be;
Normal condition
Academic probation
Suspension
The academic condition is determines by
both indexes and it’s the student’s
responsibility to be on top of his condition.
9. Normal Condition: Both index above 2.00
Academic Probation:
-Getting wither index between 1.00 and 1.99
-Getting a semestral index below 1.00 while maintaining an
accumulative index above 2.5.
It is advised that students in Academic Probation only enroll 15
credits maximum.
10. Suspension:
- If the semestral index is below 1.0 and at the
same time the accumulative index is below
2.5.
The first semester is the only moment the
student can do poorly without being suspended or
getting an academic probation.
-If the student accumulates 3 academic
probations
-If the student fails of withdraws the same same
subject more than 3 times.
11. Continuation
First suspension, 1 semester
Second suspension, 1 year
Third suspension, Definite
If the student is readmitted to the university, the new accumulative
index will be the last “normal” index the student had. If he/she never
had a “normal” index, will start form 2.00.
