2. Pakistani Children(street) are
unsheltered,uneducation and
uncared
To the coverage that the basic rights of street children are
not already being violated, they are highly exposed to the
risk of being drawn into abusive situations including
engagement in child labour and subjection to sexual
exploitation, trafficking and arbitrary arrest and detention.
even as reports that street children often engage in petty
crime are unsurprising, many of these children are also
opted into more systemised forms of criminal activity
including recruitment into criminal and terrorist gangs.

3. Objectives
The objectives of this study are following,
1.To know about the demographic
characteristics of street children.
2. To find out the vulnerability factors which
push and pull the children on the street?
3. To know about the socio-economic activities
of street children.
4. To know about the street children awareness
about child rights.
4. Background and Purpose:
Street children, or children living on the street, are a
highly vulnerable group at risk for exploitation,
malnutrition, human trafficking, and
health/behavioral health problems. Street children
in low-resource nations are particularly
vulnerable. There are an estimated 1-3 million
street children in Pakistan, who face poverty,
violence, and social stigma. The literature on
street children emphasizes victimhood. However,
researchers must also consider street children’s
resilience and asset-building behaviors. The
development of social work interventions at all
levels for this population, requires insight into how
street children build resiliency, despite severe life
adversity.
5. Results
Constitution guarantees children between the
ages of five and 16 the right to compulsory
education; yet over six million children are out of
school, and others in government and private
schools receive a compromised education with
little practical relevance to their lives.
The Constitution guarantees a child’s right to
food; yet every year 0.6 million of the 1.4 million
children born will suffer from malnutrition adding
to the number of currently underweight, stunted
or wasted children.
6. Conclusion
The government should introduce subsidies in the
federal and provincial budget to parents in the
form of cash payments for food for every child in
school and school lunches to reduce the financial
imperative they face when they don’t put children
to work.
Give proper opportunity to be positive for nation.
