1. About my bag…
To create my bag I used adobe Photoshop. The tools I used the most were the
paintbrush and the shapes and the fill colour. To create the iPod screen and
buttons I used the shapes tool and the fill colour to create the pink and blue
sided iPods. I also used the tool which creates a photo in the text, the words
being ‘paradise’ and the photo in the background is Chris martin on stage with
confetti in the background.Yes I have learnt how to use the blur tool the magic
wand tool, the quick selection tool and the fill colour tools.I think the strengths
of my bag include the appearance of it because it resembles an iPod and it has
bright colours and it has looks like a real iPod because it has the same features
on the screen such as; battery charge, song duration, a photo of the album
playing and the name of the song which is currently playing. I also like my bag
because it has pictures of cold play on all of the sides. I am pleased with my bag
because it is original and it relates to music as it is an iPod design also as the
colours are pink this can advertise the fact it is for h m v. Also as it displays
both pink and blue enables the bag to be unisex and everyone to feel attracted to
it. I also included the gramophone from the original nipper and gramophone hmv
design; therefore I have included hmv history within my design. My bag is also
eye catching as it is a ‘giant’ iPod people will be drawn to it and question what
it is. This is good.The weaknesses of my bag are the fact that I didn’t include
the hmv logo extremely clearly because it is only small on the pink iPod screen on
the gramophone which is not a very obvious place from far away if you were
carrying the bag out and about. Resulting in people not realising which bag you
are carrying this doesn’t help the advertisement of hmv bags and products. Also
I think I should have used mainly bright pink and black to emphasize the
colours of hmv, but in my bag I also included blue and different shades of pinkI
think I am pleased with the design of my bag but I think I would change the
colours to make them relate more to hmv. With more blacks and pinks.
Iwouldmake the bag have more detail because the iPod is a bit plane and I would include
photos of other artists as well.
