Human Resources Society Nepal (HRSN) is a professional organization for HR professionals in Nepal that was formally registered in 2069 BS. It currently has over 100 active members. HRSN aims to strengthen HR management in Nepal by providing networking opportunities, knowledge sharing sessions, and an annual national HR conference. Membership is open to any Nepalese HR professional for a one-time joining fee of NPR 1,000 and annual fee of NPR 2,000. Dear Colleague,
As you are aware a professional platform of all HR Professionals in Nepal has been in existence
since 2069 B.S. (Registration no: 738/2069) and has opened its door to all HR professionals for
its membership and activities.
To those who haven’t yet joined or received details on the national HR platform, let me take your
few minutes to briefly introduce the Human Resource Society Nepal(HRSN) and address some
of your potential queries.
1. What is HRSN?
Human Resources Society Nepal (HRSN) is a professional organization of Human Resources
professionals in the country. All HR practicing individuals can become member of HRSN can
share knowledge, experiences, achievements, common issues, best practices etc. among the
members and cooperate each other and learn new things from effective sharing.
As a member, HR professionals can have multiple benefits by joining HRS Nepal as s/he will be
part of a large network of HR professionals who are ready to cooperate to each other in order to
address the common issues.
Similarly, the members will have opportunity to attend workshop, seminars and interaction
organized by the HRS Nepal on regular basis for developing competence of HR professionals in
the country which will help them enhance their confidence in implementing the best HR
practices which will ultimately establish HR as a strategic business partner in their respective
organizations.
HRSN will work with our stakeholders for strengthening HR Management as a profession that
can add value in the organization and seek for their representation in the policy making level of
the state.
2. Current Members
After an initial announcement for the membership interest, around 17 HR colleagues from
different industries came together and took the responsibilities of completing the formal
registration process. HRSN was then formally registered on 2069/10/26 BS and currently we
have 100 active members. The current executive committee constitutes following members:

3. How can I become a member?
Any Nepalese HR professional can become a member of HRSN. A registration fee of Rs 1,000
(to be paid one time) and annual membership fee of Rs 2,000 will be your contribution towards
the organization.
4. How to contact HRSN for membership or other details?

members for the membership. You may also log on to www.hrsocietynepal.org and fill up the
membership request form.

5. How to process membership?
Following standard procedures is followed while accepting membership request:
i. Interested individuals can apply online through our official website
(www.hrsocietynepal.org) send a copy of their CV and a brief profile of their
organization. The CV helps us to understand their current role and to see if they are
overseeing HR functions/process in their respective organization.
ii. Along with the filled form, he/she shall pay our joining fee of Rs 1,000 (One time) and
annual membership fee of Rs 2,000.
iii. After the membership request is approved, we circulate the information on new joiners to
our existing member in our Social Networking Sites (Facebook and LinkedIn).
6. HRSN Activities
HRSN organizes National HR Conference in Nepal and 4 editions of these conferences have
already been conducted successfully.
National HR Conference
HR Professionals from various organizations in collaboration with Nepal Banking Institute
(formerly known as NBTI) organized the 1st and 2nd edition of the conference in 2011 and
2012 respectively. After the registration of HRSN, the organizing torch has been handed over
to us and we have successfully organized the 4 editions of the annual event.

Knowledge Sharing Sessions
Besides, National HR Conference, HRSN regularly organizes Knowledge Sharing Sessions
where different management and HR professionals are invited for a session on different
aspect of management and HR. We have conducted widely appreciated knowledge sharing
sessions on various issues like HR Audit, Labour Act, Finance for HR, Psychological impact
of earthquake etc.

HRSN endorses key HR events activities in the country. We endorsed HR Meet 2015 and
participated in the jury of HR Manager of the year 2015.
Other Activities:
We actively participated in the relief distribution materials during the earthquake.
We have conducted research on the Psychological impact of Earthquake on various
professionals and published a research paper at 4th
National HR Conference.
We plan to tie up with international organizations of HR and introduce various HR
certification courses in Nepal.
