I was initially impressed with Abby Sextons enthusiasm, communication skills and professional demeanor
when I hired her as a bartender for Hotel Tabard Inn Restaurant. During the three years Abby worked with
me (we both have since moved on to other establishments), she consistently demonstrated all of these
qualities and more, and I heartily endorse her for any position.
Abby is reliable, dedicated and eternally upbeat. Her ability to take initiative and achieve any goal set
before her is unparalleled, and it is because of her excellence in this area that she rapidly became an
invaluable asset to the Hotel Tabard Inn establishment. Abby multitasks effectively and is able to handle a
high-volume workload. She consistently met or surpassed all expectations (including customer satisfaction,
ability to work with a diverse staff and time management), and her verbal and written communications
were accurate, precise and thorough.
Of particular value to me as her manager was Abby's team player mind-set, enthusiastic embrace of change,
ability to work with minimal supervision and unwavering commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
I regularly received unsolicited praise from guests commending Abby's outstanding level of service,
professionalism and follow-through.
Organized and diligent, I’ve watched Abby pursue education in wine, spirits and cocktails earning her
certifications from the Court Of Master Sommeliers and Bar 5 Day Program. Both programs rely primarily
on self-study, proving her aptitude for analytical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
In addition to working with Abby I’ve had the pleasure of knowing her for over 13 years. Throughout that
time she’s remained consistently reliable, honest, loyal and supportive. I believe she possesses the highest
qualities and character a person can have and consider myself lucky to have her as a friend.
