RESPONSIBILITIES UNDERTAKEN at DIL:
 Co-ordinated with OEM for conducting performance guarantee test of Boiler, Turbine,
Generator and ESP of both units.
 Conducting heat rate and boiler efficiency tests at regular intervals (monthly).
 Regularly conduct drains passing survey to avoid any unwanted heat loss from the
turbine cycle.
 Optimizing APC by analyzing power consumption pattern of various sub-systems like
CHP, AHP, WTP, etc. and individual motor feeders if required.
 Standardized coal sampling practices for feeder coal sampling to calculate daily heat rate.
 Reporting the heat rate deviations on daily basis and taking steps to minimize the
controllable deviations.
 Played a key role in implementation of IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001).
 Conducting motor trials, pump, fan trials logic checking of all systems including MFT,
ETS & GRP, water line flushing, Lube Oil system flushing, switch gear charging,
transformer charging.
 Experience in BTG and auxiliary commissioning and routine operational activities.
 Looking after reporting and data management & analysis part of received coal.
 Establishment of Preventive maintenance schedules for all the plant equipment of BTG,
BOP, AHP, CHP etc. and Coordination with departments for Planning and Ensuring
timely completion of PM, Gap analysis to be done on daily basis.
 Maintenance management including corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and
condition based maintenance.
 Compilation of Outage activities planning, scheduling, preparing bar charts and
monitoring compliance of the same.
 Preparation of presentation of plant project status in MS Project, maintaining status of
different planning activities.
 Daily & Monthly MIS of Coal receipt, quality analysis, Transit loss & coal related data.
 Daily co-ordination with O&M for resolving the issues related to unloading, shifting &
quality of coal.
 Reconcile & maintaining records for demurrage, waiver & payment of the same.
 Quantity reconciliation as per the weighment sheets collected from CHP & certifying
with C&C for GRN processing & for maintaining stock records.
 Monitor coal sample collection-preparation process done by sampling agency and quality
analysis in coordination with Lab team at DIL.
 Maintain proper records for segregation of Stones & Shale’s received from Linkage coal
and to submit the same with SECL for stone claim, Bilaspur.
 Identification of suitable open market vendors, plot visit, rake loading & sample
collection at loading end, Regular follow ups & meetings with suppliers for quality
issues.
 Coordination with unloading and transporting contractor for smooth rake handling and
internal coal shifting at DIL.

minimum demurrage and shortage.

 Working as shift in charge of CHP (O&M), Man power deployment as per maintenance
work, Doing Operation of CHP as per Guidelines issued by Essar Engineer in Charge.
 Preparations of SOP and check list.
 Maintaining coal records, coal consumption records, maintaining coal yard.
 Preparation of pending list/ defect list and inform to Maintenance and erection team.
 Regular conducting of tool box talk for Human safety.
 Regular meeting with contactors man powers to better utilization of Man, Machine.

 Certified Lead Auditor for Integrated Management Systems (ISO: 9001:2008, ISO:
14001:2007, ISO: 18001:2004) by Bureau Veritas Certification Agency.
