Granite Construction- Safety, Health and Environmental Intern
Located on a Joint Venture: Skanska, Granite and Lane (SGL Constructors). I4 Ultimate Project: Orlando,
Florida. The $2.3 billion project includes; 21 miles of highway expansion, demo, rebuild and expansion
of 150 bridges, redesign and build of 15 interchanges. The project utilizes 31 cranes,approximately 550
craft employees and various operation including; Pile Driving (concrete and steelh-pile,) Jack and Bore
Operations, Pipe Laying, Utility Relocation, Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) and SOE lagging wall,
Barrier Walls, Operation and Maintenance of the Highway, Precast Concrete Structures,Girder
Placement,Paving and Bid-Well Operations.
 Knowledge and Involvement with; OSHA,EPA,DOT, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000 and
external auditing process.
 Involved with insurance safety inspection with The Hartford Insurance.
 Conducted inspections on various pieces of construction equipment for damages and to ensure
the equipment is fully operational.
 Communicated efficiently with Project Executives, Superintendents, Foreman and Crew.
 Knowledge and Experience in operating; Crawler Cranes,Excavators, Aerial Lifts and Tele-
Handlers.
