The event will take place on June 28, 2016 from 2-6pm at Birmingham City University and will include presentations on introducing computer science to the national curriculum, STEM demonstrations by local pupils, the history and future of Computing At School, and the benefits of computer science. Attendees will learn about schools that have adopted computer science and the impact it can have on learners.

This event is aimed at Head Teachers and the Senior Leaders who are interested in learning more about the

Simon Humphreys, National Coordinator
for Computing At School: Simon taught
for 25 years before working for CAS. With
colleagues and friends from other schools,
academia and industry he formed the
Computing At School working group. He has
overseen the development of CAS from a
small group of 20 to an organisation of over
15,000 members.
Sir Mark Grundy - Executive Principal,
SHIRELAND Collegiate Academy:
Knighted in 2006 for his work in Education in
the West Midlands, Sir Mark has worked
with the Department of Education and Skills
alongside his executive principal role at
George Salter and Shireland Collegiate
Academies.
Niel McLean, CAS: Formerly with Britain's
National Foundation for Educational
Research (NFER) and Head of Education at
eSkills UK, Niel now works with CAS leading
the future planning and government
contracts.
