We would like to thank you for checking us out. We are starting from ground zero on this endeavor. This program that we are starting is unique in content. Though, there are many programs that serve our Veterans it has come to our attention that there are not many programs that help our children who have been abused. The Veterans will help these children who have lost all faith in adults and learn to trust them once again. This is where it helps our Veterans as well. Many Veterans come back from serving our country only to find out that what they once knew is no longer there. They lose their sense of self and many times their families. This is an unfortunate truth for our Veterans. The Veterans will 'adopt' these children as if they were their own. This is the benefit of our program. All who are involved gain something in the end. We have always been passionate about children and our military forces who have served our country. We feel it is now our time to give back to our community and hopefully help the ones who feel lost and alone. This all can be done with your contributions. Please do not forget to share this page with your friends. Also, please stop by Under the Rainbow's fan page and give it a like so that you may follow our progress of making all this a reality. Again, thank you for your support and I hope to be able to invite you to see what your contributions have done very soon.

A true life story
1. BISMI ALLAHI ALRRAHMANI ALRRAHIM
May Allah bless this article I am writing, some people are under the
illusion that not all people can express their emotion s verbally but can write
them in words. I can fill thousands of pages with “I love you dad” but not once
could I say it to you. Perhaps that is why you left without saying goodbye. I
had promised you that I’ll become the man you want me to become, so my
attempts are on
Sometimes I forget what it means to have a family. The story began with
that of a man who chose to carve his own path to excellence. He chose to get
himself educated rather than mingling with other village boys and achieve
nothing in the end. Despite his family’s economic shortcomings, he set out to
the world to turn his dreams into reality. In God’s will, this man walked
carefree to his desired dreams. His name was MWO BATURE ABDULLAHI, a
non-commissioned officer of the Nigerian air force. He was born on the 4th of
April 1945 into the family of Danbarhim Abdurrahman and his wife Maryama
in a village called Giremawa situated in the land area of the now called
Bindawa local government Katsina state. He joined the Nigerian air force in
the year 1969 despite being warned by his father not to join any military or
paramilitary agency. He married his first wife (AISHA) in the year 1972. This
marks the beginning of my family. They lived happily for many years and were
blessed with children.
Few years later, my mother entered the house as a younger wife to my
father. In my life I have never known any man other than my father who treats
his two wives as equals. My father’s dreams in life were to be successful in life
and have a happy family and praise the almighty, he fulfilled all his dreams
and is blessed with fifteen children six from Aisha his first wife, and nine from
Amina my mother.
My father served his nation for a long time though with many obstacles
but the conspiracy that occurred in 1996 will never be forgotten not even by
his foes. He was conspired against and falsely adjudged of something he
couldn’t even attempt to do. The court martial of then adjudicated him to
resign with immediate effect. Despite being defenseless, my father didn’t
relinquish to appeal his case. It was when he appealed that they reinstated him
his post and rank but the brave man chose to retire. He lived for less than two
decades with us before he finally answered his creator’s call. He died of
appendicitis on Monday 17th of November 2014 at the age of 69.
2. He went away with most of our happiness but has left something more
precious and even stronger than diamond. In his life time, he was a profound
pioneer of child education. This was the track our father left us on, a track
which when followed meticulously can make you fly to different parts of the
world “EDUCATION”. But funny enough none of us want to make this dream of
our father come to live. As one of the youngest, whatever I do, I do it cautiously
looking at the wide range of differences between me and my father, the
excellence he achieved cannot be achieved only by mere trying but with excess
hard work and diligence. His professionalism in the fields of aeronautics and
mechanics is at a level where I don’t think we can ever reach thou It’s not
impossible.
‘MARYAM. You know my dear sister, Aunty Bebi.’ She is as simple as
algebra. Never gets angry with anyone. No one expects any less from the
beautiful creative lady. But she has different dreams from that of our father.
‘UMMULKHAIRI or UMMUL, actually both.’ She is as soft from within as hot
tempered she appears. I know she quarrels with everyone but I am pretty sure
that her quarrel is with something else, ‘her dreams’. But no one’s life goes on
without SHAMSUDDEEN. Sometimes he behaves like a father or a sensible
brother. He too has his own dreams to go for. RUMASSA’U, it is only she who
puts herself into trouble so as to make everything perfect thus end up
thwarting her own plans. MURJANATU. The one with the greatest dreams
amongst us. A woman who is a man in disguise. If not because of your eyes,
you’d have crossed all the obstacles on your way.
No one forgets the gifted brain of SHAMSIYYA. When she misunderstands
you, I am sure that everyone else must’ve done so. The level of her intelligence
quotient is almost as good as father’s. It is in her that I see our father for she
is the only one that is on the brink of fulfilling our dead but living father’s
dreams. Our little and youngest brother MUSA, the one I call Shamsiyya plus. A
boy who will in time by god’s grace be a great person. He only needs to be
inspired. He’s our wonder kid. Nobody sticks to his words more than
KAMALUDDEEN. He does whatever he believes to be right and I respect him for
that. He gives business the highest priority in his life. Thus I can call it his
dreams. Funny enough, he holds the record of being the first male to get
married in our family. I still have hope in MUFIDA because as long as her
husband breathes, she has to do something for in her I still expect a lot. A
rookie and also one of the most curious souls in our family ABDULRAHMAN, he
too is on the process of building himself up. In him also, I feel the sense of
greatness.
The most patient as well as the most furious amongst us FIDDAUSI, she
serves the role of a sister, friend and a very good counsellor. Her counsels are
one of the best. Thus, I can say that is her sacred gift. Another talented and
3. quite soul TUKUR. Though playful, but he is also on the brink of joining his
brothers in achieving greatness. Though impatient, USMAN is another notable
figure in our family. He too does what his heart believes to be right . He makes
haste in everything he does without considering the repercussions of his
actions.
Our father may his soul continue to rest in peace would always say to me,
AMINU, always keep things simple. Whenever you are burdened, don’t ever
forget to smile. This has always been my guideline in everything I do.
Sometimes I wonder how I manage things my own way. I wonder how my little
brain functions perfectly. But I came to conclusion when I once sat down to
meditate. It is not only my efforts that make me excel in everything I do. God’s
gift and the love and positive expectations my family have for me on the nonce
also play an important role in making my small but mighty self perform
miracles. My life has been full of miracles since the day I was born till today.
Anytime I feel like giving up, my family comes to my mind. It is not the
financial situation of my house that baffles me. What baffles me the most is
that: a man to whom people run for help concerning all matters is no more and
none of his children has taken a step in becoming like him. I don’t know what
fate has designed for me but to be respected and to be a wall to which people
would lean to whenever the stagger is my future ambition.
Roaming the streets, falling in love, playing all the time, my friends call
them fun, but I call them bullshit. Living a life that looks like you’ve
segregated yourself from your family is the most prevalent problem that most
of my friends think of as a new civilization. As soon as you start earning a
petty amount of money that could hold you for a day, then it’s time for you to
leave home. It’s a good thing, I’m not condemning the truth of learning how to
depend on oneself, but a person should be moderate in whatever he does.
Anything that doesn’t promote maximum pleasure for maximum people, I call
it nonsense. Therefore if your family and close ones are not benefiting from the
petty amount you are earning that made you alienate yourself from them , you
are as good as nothing. I don’t mean to hurt anyone but frankly speaking, some
people believe in how hard they earn and save not how gracious and merciful
our lord is. Some would toil in the hot sun, earn the money and funny enough
find it difficult to buy good food which would benefit them and make them
even stronger for tomorrows work.
It really frightens me when I hear elders calling t his generation of ours
THE GENERATION OF CHANGE. The question runs through my mind whenever I
hear those words is that could they really see what is going on in the world.
Every day, the rate of murder is on its increasing state, drug abuse has become
a new civilization to youth, the rate of illiteracy is not decreasing, women are
raped every day, prostitution and many other illegal activities aren’t reducing.
4. Whenever the police or NDLEA arrest a drug addict, he insults them call them
incompetent workers. People wouldn’t want to go to school and prefer sit down
and criticize their leaders without any idea on what is going on in the system
thereby spreading rumors that would spread terror in the land. They will
neither go to school nor try to earn something for living. Yet they’ll stay in
their homes waiting for the government to spoon feed them with jobs . And
whenever the govt fails to serve them, they’ll strong heartedly blame the govt
with the case of being incompetent blinded by their own faults.
In everything I do, I try not go against religious jurisdictions. I am not an
extremist but I am extremely kind. I neither go against my own policies nor
allow others to make me do it. The major problem we are facing today is that
of regionalism. For instance here in Nigeria, the major practiced religions are
Islam and Christianity that’s cool we don’t suffer very much from that. But the
unfortunate fact of having no less than 500 tribes and languages each fighting
to be in power at all cost is our major problem. To shun away this problem, the
government has to make it clear that religion is important in our lives but it
shouldn’t be use as a tool for the destruction of people’s lives and properties.
Life will almost be meaningless without tribes and cultures. But when
practicing them becomes so extreme, it opens a wide door for regionalism and
tribalism. Out of the numerous tribes we have in Nigeria, the recognized ones
are Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. Despite being entirely different, these tribes and
cultures have some commonalities between them. The most common factor
among these tribes is religion. They are either Christians or Muslims. If
Nigerians could forget about the differences and face the realities of modern
civilization, you’ve no idea what Nigeria would become within a short period
of time. The Hausas think that they are born to lead despite being the major
tribe with the highest rate of ignorance and illiteracy. The Yoruba’s stupidly
think that they are smart and logical. The Igbo can r un mad because of money
and worldly things. So come to imagine these tribes working together as one.
We would have a better Nigeria to live.
Some scholars described Nigeria as a market. The say that it has been a
market since its inception. This description has been proved correct by the
reigning issues of corrupt practices. People enter into politics for their own
interest instead of serving their people. Different kinds of people, different
opinions and perspectives
